C. Andrew Childers

Andy is a founding partner of Childers, Schlueter & Smith, LLC. Andy was born in South Carolina, raised in Maryland just outside of Washington, D.C., and has lived in Georgia since 1995. He graduated from Clemson University in 1995, and went on to get his law degree from the University of Georgia in 1998. Andy remains actively involved with UGA Law, serving as a member of the Law School Alumni Council since 2012, including serving as President in 2018-2019. He is admitted to practice law in Georgia, Florida and Pennsylvania. Andy has been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer in the Class Actions/Mass Torts category and has received multiple Super Lawyers Rising Star and Super Lawyer recognitions. In 2017, Andy and his co-counsel obtained a Georgia pharmaceutical injury verdict of just over $20.5 million. He has also obtained verdicts in Pradaxa litigation and has served in leadership roles in multiple multidistrict litigations, including Paragard, Abbott preterm infant nutrition products, Ethicon Physiomesh, Xarelto, and Yamaha Rhino ATV matters. Andy is an active member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association and has served as Chairman of its Education Committee, Communications Committee, and Civil Justice PAC. He is also a frequent guest lecturer at Emory University’s Rollins School of Public Health and participates in Mass Torts Made Perfect seminars. Childers, Schlueter & Smith represents injury victims nationally. Andy concentrates on individuals harmed by pharmaceutical products and medical devices, primarily in mass tort settings. He has represented tens of thousands of victims injured by dangerous and defective products and handles Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis cases. The firm reports that Andy has obtained settlements for clients in excess of $250 million.
