Eric Bodo grew up in Mundelein, Illinois, attended Carmel High School and graduated from Marquette University in 1993 with a B.A. He received his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law in 1996 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar. Before joining VanDerGinst Law, he was a partner in his own firm in Chicago and Northbrook representing seriously injured individuals and families. He previously worked for a high-volume Chicago personal injury firm and a defense firm representing an insurance company. He has 23 years of courtroom experience handling personal injury and wrongful-death cases and has worked with experts in architecture, building codes, elevators and medical matters. He has handled appellate matters and successfully argued before the Illinois Appellate Court. He is a contributing author to Environmental Law and Insurance Handbook (1997 Ed.).
