Gerald J. Bekkerman is a trial lawyer and founding partner of Taxman, Pollock & Bekkerman, LLC. Before founding the firm he ran his own practice and grew it to six attorneys in six years. He represents plaintiffs in personal injury cases nationwide and is a lifetime member of the Million and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He lectures at legal seminars and law schools on jury selection, oral advocacy, business origination and management and other litigation topics. He is active in the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, including service on its Board of Managers, as well as the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and American Association of Justice. He is licensed in Illinois and Wisconsin state courts, the U.S. Supreme Court and several federal jurisdictions. He is fluent in Russian and proficient in Spanish and serves on the Advisory Board of Active Transportation Alliance. He earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2007 and B.A. from the University of Illinois in 2000.
