Jennifer P. Burkes

Jennifer P. Burkes is a senior partner and strategic adviser in the personal injury litigation department at Wilshire Law Firm. She brings more than three decades of experience to catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death, roadway design and defective-product cases. Burkes has served as lead trial counsel in cases producing seven-figure verdicts. Her published case history includes major results involving quadriplegia, traumatic brain injury and medical negligence. She now draws on that trial background to advise lawyers throughout the firm’s litigation department. Before pursuing law, Burkes studied at the University of Southern Mississippi and taught high-school English. She earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi and clerked for Judge E. Grady Jolly of the Fifth Circuit. After Hurricane Katrina destroyed her Mississippi law office, she relocated to Los Angeles. She is admitted in California and Mississippi.
