About Judy

Judy Blackwell combines academic achievement with decades of workplace and personal injury experience. She graduated with honors from the University of Georgia with both a bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor. She began her career in Albany and established herself in Atlanta in 1986, initially specializing in workers’ compensation defense. She later served as an Administrative Law Judge, presiding over more than 500 cases, became a partner leading a workers’ compensation practice group, and served as Assistant General Counsel for Atlanta Public Schools. At Hasner Law she advocates for injured workers and brings her judicial and defense experience to client representation. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia Workers’ Compensation Section, Georgia Injured Workers’ Advocates, and the College of Workers’ Compensation Lawyers Class of 2023.
