Kerry D. Staton is a Founding and Managing Partner of Schochor, Staton, Goldberg and Cardea, P.A. He received his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1980 after attending Oberlin College. He has lectured at the University of Maryland School of Law, Office of the Attorney General, Johns Hopkins Hospital and the Western Shore Dental Society and has testified before the Maryland legislature on law, medicine and tort reform. He served on the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service and Howard Community College Foundation boards and Marian House. He is admitted in Maryland and the District of Columbia and has handled medical negligence cases in Pennsylvania, Alabama and other jurisdictions. His 2026 honors include Best Lawyers in America for Medical Malpractice Law–Plaintiffs and Maryland Top 100 Super Lawyers.
